What does the Lord expect?

One of the reasons that Paige (My wife) and I have a strong marriage is because we know what is expected of one another.  Relationships flourish when we know what is expected and live to bring pleasure to one another.  If you have been in a relationship with Jesus Christ for some time, you know what to expect from him.  He fights for you, he speaks to you, he never leaves you, he heals, he forgives and he never gives up.  Lamentations 3:23 says it best, "Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."  We have learned through life what to expect from our Heavenly Father, but do we know what he expects from us?

"And now Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in the way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul."  Deuteronomy 10:12

Our relationship with God our Father will flourish as we live out the words of this powerful verse from God.
