Week 2
Day 1 - You shall not be afraid of them but you shall remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt, (Deuteronomy 7:18 ESV)
When reading in the old testament, we see much reference to enemies. You and I are not fighting the Egyptians today, but we are battling enemies like addiction, worry, discontentment, inconsistency, confusion, etc ... All of which can spark fear in us. Our verse today encourages us to remember what God has done in the past when we faced other enemies. As you battle your own enemy today, would you take time to remember what God has brought you through in the past. Remembering...
Reminds us of Gods Faithfulness.
Gives us hope in our present battle.
Causes us to lean hard on Gods power.
Take time... To write down some occasions where God helped you to stand strong when an enemy threatened your peace and sanity.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)
